Newspaper Report

THE Garden Route’s beloved Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe puffed back into action
yesterday after a 3˝-month rest.

Western Cape Tourism MEC Alan Winde and Transnet Foundation head
Cynthia Mgijima, who were among dignitaries travelling from George to
Mossel Bay yesterday on the official return of the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe
after its maintenance shutdown, said they were confident of the future
of Africa’s last vintage steam train service.
