We need a working and functional Word processor that can work on a 586.
The point of Ubuntu Lite is not just to make a working OS but a useable
one. So far here are the alternatives.

OpenOffice 1.1.4: It is great on Word compatibility. Probably the best
out there. However it is very laggy and slow. It is almost unusable. We
need to configure it to speed it up.

Koffice: this has been suggested to me. However no word compatibility.
It does run well though and looks good.

Abiword: Like Koffice it is lightweight and robust. However it can only
read word documents. It cannot write to word (inspite of the doc save
function, which can be read by openoffice). I have seen it lock up
though.

Portable Open office?

Ill give this a try.

Either way any tips that people find then let us know.

word: is refering to a very common word processor.
