Mars Effect for TV personalities
Hi All, I don't know what to make of some of the Gauquelin observations after processing a lot more data recently, but for those who have any interest in the 'Mars Effect' (in its original sense as it related to the category of Sportsmen) there is something new to keep an eye on, and it doesn't require any searching for famous sportsmen or women or... more »

Mars in 10th house Placidus (re-print)
[Repeated a/c time-out of old post] ... ... ... ... ... ... ~>Go, Ray! Keep on opening our eyes. ~>Axel [UPDATE] Thanks for taking the time to reply, Axel. I asked a couple of others who visit this group why they haven't been writing anything, and it turned out that they all had broken fingers,... more »

Mars in 10th house Placidus - who has it most?
Hi All, The computer did this - I didn't. It found in my database of 37,000 timed charts from Astrodatabank and some of the Gauquelin data collection that an interest in Music featured overwhelmingly amongst the highest scores in the 100 categories (percentage wise). I suppose if there was no such thing as astrology, we'd have to start... more »

You need the right Diurnal MC to be U.S. President
Hi All, I was just shoveling some more data through Murphy's Astrological Engine and noticed that it's pretty much a waste of time standing for the Presidency unless you have your diurnal MC in the right place because there has been only one nominee in over a century who has succeeded without it - George Bush Snr (if his birth time is to be... more »

Study of Tran Pluto opp MC 4 deg orb
Hi All, On another group we were discussing transits of Pluto opp MC and the type of events that could occur more frequently than we would expect by chance (over the long term) irrespective of all other factors. Below is a list of 101 events (out of a possible 5456) that occurred under the transit PLU opp MC with a 4 deg orb for people in... more »

This group and 93 astrologers
Ray, I wanted to bump up the thread on the 93 eminent astrologers but the "Reply" button seems to vanish from all threads after 20 or 21 days. Is this a setting you can change? In some forums a thread can lie dormant for a couple of years and suddenly become hot again. Also we are a very small group, so there is not the kind of traffic that... more »

Vastu is a Vedic Science
Dear friend, Namastey! In fact, you believe or not, but obviously, you experience tremendous peace and solace of mind in a certain building, whereas, at the same time, the atmosphere prevailing in another building compels you to leave that place, as you feel suffocated, due to unfavourable. environment. The fundamental reason behind it is ‘Vastushastra’. You... more »

Text analysis of astrology books
Hi All, Now that so many old books have been converted to text or PDF files, I've made a small program that might eventually be of some use for establishing who might have published certain astrological words or terms first. It's a simple text analysis program that reads any text file and counts each word and the number of times it was used. The results are... more »

Sun partners
Hi Ray! Deeply sorry to have been neglecting your group. I guess we don't yet have the critical mass that keeps things going. Could you explain the SUN PARTNERS.gif file you last posted? I presume it's something like male columns vs female rows, but I can't quite believe what I think I'm seeing.... more »
