Seems you are full of contradictions. Sadly, in the same ways of Yong Chanthalangsy! Just re-read your contradictory statement!
You said, "As for my trip, it was an enjoyable trip indeed with no official engagement, only visiting few people like Achan Vichit at Thaluang (more photo to come..), HE Khenthong and catch up with few friends (Dr Bounkhuang and Dr Khamphad (the husband of Pany)"
Khenthong may be your friend, but he is also the official national spokesperson of the one-party Hammer and Sickle government run by Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
Dr Khamphad may be your friend, but he is also the husband of the Pany Yathotou, a Politburo Member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the neucleus of that country's one party rule.
It is no wonder extremists on both sides (Yong on the one hand and his critics on the other), have no respect for you. You're a living contradiction unto yourself.
May be lpdr already give dr. pao $1 million for him to eliminate the people who oppose lpdr who know. If so he will be richer than usual, must be careful for some untrust person.

Hi all,
It is a holiday trip only... ONly want to share my trip with every one. If I do not say anything, no one would know. All the photos are for families and friends to see. There is nothing to hide... so while in Laos, I met few friends and families; had lunch with few, sang karoke with few, and caught-up with few just like any tourist. So.. what is wrong with that?
I donot represent any one or any organisation. I went to Laos for a holiday as my Nepal trip was postponed as I posted earlier due to my daughter engagement at her University. So it is true that there is NO official engagement as DKJ said- all the people I met were friends and family only. HE Khenthong was LPDR Ambassador to Oz before - so just catching up with him on personal basis. Dr KHamphad & Dr Bounkhouang are classmate of my wife! So, we just caught-up with some old friends. Achan Vichit, Mr Leam Insisiengmay are part of my wife family - so it is a family matter only.
Hope that I have clear the air! Will be glad to clarify any further inquiry any time.

Dr. Pao,
If you are there to peacefully negotiate reconciliation, I applaud you. Let the extremists choke on their own vomit for all I care.

My Hmong Friends.
It sounds like wherever Dr. Pao 'Shits" he will be blamed. Some of you blamed him for going back to Laos to stir trouble in 2006 and some of you labeled him as VP puppet and now some of you label him as LPDR puppet. I am confued. Dony

You're equally contradictory in your statement as Dr. Pao was with his! But you probably don't even realize it!
First, I agree that Dr. Pao's decision to travel to Laos, whether for personal or politcal reasons, are entirely his own.
My only point and reminder to Dr. Pao is that he's a CONTRADICTION unto himself by claiming the trip was just personal, while at the same time showing off to the world that he indeed met with the official Lao spokesperson for the country run by the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, and the husband of one of the 11-Member Communist Politburo...both of whom wielded the very control over the very policies and politics which he openly argued against for years! It's not a matter of right or wrong, it's just a matter of his own credibility...especially in light of his previous positions with those very government officials!
Second, Jim, if your judgement is true that indeed Dr. Pao is "a high profile person," then that high profile person's trip/vacation to a Communist country is indeed significant...especially if that high profile person has been known to be at direct odds with the very policies set by his "friends" in high offices of that Communist country, which he is an ardent critic of. So, you see how easy it is for anyone to "jump to conclusions."
Finally, I'm sure Dr. Pao has all the good intentions in the world, and those are truly his best friends and family...but he also has to realize that his own credibilty is at stake when he turns around and makes arguments about the Lao PDR. Basically, what it has boiled down to is...while he has friends and family in the Lao PDR, he has been rendered so insignificant, politically, by those same people. I read Yong's continued dismissal and total disrespect for Dr. Pao as an example of how sad a state Dr. Pao has managed to put himself into...by his own choices, no mattery how contrary to his own arguments.
just don't bother with these people and the so called hmong leaders; as far as my concern--hmong people do not yet know anything about being leader. however, they would nominate themselves to be in the high position as he/she can be at, but they fall short on how they must carry themselves and their own word of wisdom, knowledge and communications that fits as when, where, how, and what to say at that special instant moment.
if you don't leave these people behind, you then will be trapped with them in this low life!

Your points are well taken...and thanks for explaining your position in this matter. I understand where you're coming from...I, however, must insist that politic is not my cup of tea, though I may have shun a few words of opinions on and off in SCH in regards to the political state of Laos and that country's political policy in general. I do however realized that people/policy of sorts are constantly changing in an ever changing world. To remain in one confine position/political ideaology risk too much than if you are engaging with your foes...be it political or business...you're missing an opportunity to make changes or profit from a lucurtive business investment. Needless to say...I stand firmly beleive that Hmoob MUST move forward for the betterment of our people and our future. I've seen you presented your arguments in many views. I hope you'll continue fighting for your belief in a manner that culminates respect and understanding. We may disagree at times, but we can agree to disagree and yet still fight for one goal. Whatever that goal was/is...I can't said. Ua tsaug!

Jim, I agree with you 100% . Thank you for the intelligent comment . Dr Pao . please visit Hmong villages , too. Thank you for the pictures . Hmong Love OZ .
Dr. Pao, you said, "More criticism gives me more POWER!!!"
Really? So if we criticise Yong or the Lao PDR, that gives them more power?
Then you said, "and people ONLY criticise people who are HIGHER than them (you never criticize any one below you!!)."
Really? So does that mean that ALL of your previous criticisms of the Lao PDR and Yong are because it's your belief and conclusion that they are HIGHER than you? You're saying you are below them?

We, the Hmong, have to move up one more notch! This is the 21st century!!
One has to be very clear about one criticism - I take that all people are basically GOOD but when I have to say something, it is NOT about the PERSON but it is only about that person action, behavior or ideology. In the case of Yong, we are as different as sky and earth on our ideology but it does not stop us to agree to disagree and to have dialogue and when he came to Melbourne, we had dinner together and when my niece was in Laos and in trouble, he came for the rescue - but politically we are on different spectrum.
Even in the case of the current LPDR Spokesman, we do have more differences than in common in our political beliefs - we argued for hours and one time, we argued for for one whole night about our differences but on the personal level, we can still be friend. Just imagine this, can a Republican has a Democract member as friend - of course, you can. It is about time that the Hmong must move up to this level, at least.
Finally, All4One has said so clear and so right that I agree completely with him and I have nothing more to add ... just Amen!!!
Hope that the air is being cleared!

It is good to have friends. But, friends with political figures could also put you into an awkward position as well. Just don’t wander too far off track. Say the right things in the right time, you are doing just fine. Laonok can say all they want, but Laonai takes pride on what they have, a country. The only sad thing is that they got stuck in the system just for the national pride. Deep down in the personal level, they see many good things in the Laonok and yet they can’t do too much about it.
