Hi Andrew,
here a simple setup for a nested structure containing a query (among
others):
instance is the core CFC I'm testing for in this test CFC and has been
created in
the setup. The 100023 is some sort of a static dummy user I'm using

That at least gives me a starting point.

When I think about it what I really wanted to test for is that I
haven't unwittingly injected any SQL errors. I guess at least testing
the methods don't thrown an exception is a good starting point, and I
could go from there.

Hi Andrew,
there's hardly any right or wrong when it comes to what you'd test.
The most
basic test is obviously that the method actually really returns a
query. If you have
further domain knowledge on particular methods, you could also think
about
testing for the amount of records coming back (that might be exactly one

Firstly I have to admit to being a complete newbie when it comes to
Unit Testing. I have had a quick look at CFUnit but have just
discovered RocketUnit and am wondering if it might be a nicer place to
start.
