Subject: Selling Digital Pictures Online
When it comes to making money online, the Internet provides a bunch of
opportunities for people all around the world. While most people
choose to try making money blogging or managing their own website,
there are still a lot of other ways to go.
For instance, I've been able to sustain a very comfortable lifestyle
for the last couple of years by selling digital pictures online.
To be completely honest, it all started by accident, as I had no idea
what the true potential of this business was.
Two years ago, while on a two week trip to Thailand, I managed to fill
a 4 GB memory card with photos of the places I found interesting.
That's a total of about 4000 photos!
When I got back home, I uploaded most of the pictures to the websites
I was already working with, hoping for a nice amount of money to pour
in.
The result was shocking, though!
While I would have been very happy with a few hundred dollars, I
managed to make a little more than $10,000 during the next two months,
thanks to the photos I took in Thailand.
But why would anyone pay for my photos? Well, it's quite simple,
actually. Instead of hiring professional photographers and paying them
hundreds of dollars for a few photos, many people choose to register
with specialized websites that facilitate the transactions between
amateur photographers and interested buyers.
This way, everybody wins! Buyers avoid spending tons of money on
photos and photographers make a nice profit (about $2 -- $3 per sold
picture).
And you would be amazed to find out how many sorts of people are
willing to buy digital photos: website owners, realtors, even
magazines!
Imagine you would spend a couple of hours every month taking 100
photos, in the closest park. That would give you a projected profit of
about $250! Now imagine you would spend a couple of hours every
weekend doing this. You could easily get to $1000 per month doing a
very pleasant job.
And the best part is that you don't need to be a professional to
succeed in this industry. When I first started, I had no experience
whatsoever, but easily managed to make it work!
