Don't be so quick to write of the Canon Rebel Ti (aka 300V).
If I were you I'd first ask what you are using the camera for. If its
landscapes and portraits then it really is worth thinking of going
digital because you can't beat them for this kind of photography. If

Thanks all for the suggestions. Seems I may have gotten a little mixed
up with the percentage. I've seen an ad for ICE to be used with the
scanning. Isn't that a plug-in for Photoshop? It might actually be
cheaper for me to buy a plane ticket back to Hawaii and shot again. I've
got family there so, hotel is cheap.

trumpet with......I don't know whether the denaturing additives would hurt
film or not....I would test anything I bought on a throw-away slide first in

Don't know if it would help, but Rite Aid has a 70% rubbing alcohol that's
Ethyl alcohol. it's their product # 11822-31386, and it comes in a 1 pint
bottle. I use it to clean my trumpet, because the smell of isopropyl alcohol
makes me sick

Usually removing fungus from a slide leaves clear spots - the fungus has
eaten the original emulsion. The best thing to do is either scan with ICE or
remove the spots in Photoshop after scanning. Usually it takes a combination
of the two if the fungus is very bad.

When I was a younger man. (No not that many years ago) I made myself one
from a toilet roll, glue, black paint and a make up mirror. It was very good
and simple to do. I finished mine off with a close up lens attached to the

You're right, my quick Google search says seems to indicate that they

Does anyone know where I can get a 52mm right-angle adapter? The type that
looks like a lense but will allow you to shoot a picture in one direction

I stand corrected, tunsten light is 3200K when daylight film is for
shooting at 5500K- it was late at night. I am right about needing an 80A
filter to adjust the tungsten light though.

if that is the case to compensate for the light or get some film

out orange? I have a Canon AE-1 Program and I'd like to use an 80-200 zoom.
