  They put it together, though. I doubt there&#39;s anything wrong with the &lt;br&gt; *design* of the car or anything in it, but some American cars have been very &lt;br&gt; poorly assembled. &lt;br&gt; There have been some very good Fords and Mercurys and also some very &lt;br&gt; sloppily assembled ones. I&#39;ve owned a few of both. Never bought a Lincoln.
