I just picked up a Canon SX1 IS digital camera. It boasts 1920x1080 HD
video. So, I looked at the users guide to try and set the camera to
1080p. It says press the "Func SET" button, then use the arrow buttons
to select the mode. However, when I do this, there is only 640x480 and
320x240 available. I have it set to "Superfine", and also "10M

I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 on an XP o/s & Sony RM-ADU006 DVD
player. Edited R+ R/W discs from my Sony DVD Digicam play ok, but when I
add Excerpts from R- R/W disks they appear Ok in the Editing program,
but do not appear after being burnt to the DVD and played on the Sony
DVD player, neither do still images that I have added.

Olympus μ Digital 800 replacement

Hello,
I need a new camera: my Olympus ì Digital 800 has died after ~4 years
and 15,000 photos.
I'd ideally like a smallish replacement which is reliable, rugged
(previous one got dropped into the surf in Fiji and survived), has a
good battery life and a decent zoom. Previous one was 8 megapixels,
but I didn't use anything like the full quota.
