Anybody knows Casio Exilim Z-110 or Exilim Z-500??
I have a Casio EXZ750. It is a great toy and makes adequate pictures for such a teensy camera. The 7mps sensor is overkill and probably the 5mp version yields functionally identical results. I am not that impressed with the video at even the hightest setting. This camera got an excellent review at the dpreview site. However the review is misleading if one does not keep in mind the context of comparing one teeny pocket camera to another rather than to a more ideal picture making tool. I am happy with the EXZ750 for what it is but all these teensy cameras have significant technical limits although they are marvels of design and engineering.

Hi Mark I've just bought the new Canon S80 and it is a fantastic camera. A bit pricey but what the hell, you only live once.
Hi Mark. I am also new to digital but I am, will always be, a film shooter, but want a digital camera as an extra tool, just for snaps etc. I was not into paying any serious money for a digital camera so I went to reputable, higher class pawn shops and got a 2002 Olympus D550, 3 megapixel camera with an excellent 3X optical zoom (a good lens is the key essential to any camera, digital or film), actually for free because I took in an item to trade, works out great for the both of us. There are many excellent cameras, with some warranty, in these places in the $85-$120. range (in my case Canadian money). The original retail on my camera was $500. Canadian. This way you can learn digital, then take the time to research a new camera purchase if that's the way you want to go.

Few years ago I said that too. I still use my OM-2, but not nearly as much any more. I can print just as high a quality as a film print so spending money on a good lens is worth it.
