Subject: Sticking Tamron Adaptall stop-down mechanism

I had been having problems with over-exposed images on my XG-7, and
discovered rhat the problem was due to the aperture stop-down
mechanism which hold the lens fully open until the shutter is pressed.

At smaller F-stops (16, 22, 32), the aperture sometimes sticks open at
a largers stop, over-exposing the image. The problem does not occur
with larger apertures.

I lubricated the mechanism and adjusted a tab that was slightly
rubbing on a surface beneath it, which partially or fully solved the
problem.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Richard's fault!
