Interesting! The relatives say Hasan had never fired a gun (as far as they knew). Have they dropped the annual pistol qualification for officers? Doubtful. Laser sights too! Hmmmnn! Fox News says over a hundred rounds were fired. That's about 7 clips for the P-92FS. LZ

I think we should issue silver bullets smeared with lard(pig fat)to our troops. It worked for vampires and the lard would insure the terrorists would not get their 7 virgins.

I had only read about a Beretta. Other than carrying more ammo, I don't see the 5.7 as the best choice for killing a maximum number of people. Of course with less recoil it could be that his aim was improved. LZ

There has been a lot of hype about the 5.7 because it was designed to penetrate body armor. The type of bullet that does penetrate body armor is not even available on the civilian market. The "practice" armor if FMJ and performs similar to a .22 mag. I agree with you it would not be my choice of arm. Wherever we have troops, we should have a pig-pen. Any body parts they find of suicide bombers should be throw into the pig-pen and movies taken of the pigs eating the them. Then show those movies to as many people as they can. Take still shots with the words "this is what will happen to all suicide bombers from now on", on the pictures and post the pictures everywhere. It seems like a simple solution to me. The whole reason the suicide bombers do what they do is to get to (wherever) and get those 72 virgins. If they knew they would never get to (wherever), there would be no reason to blow themselves up. They could increase it to any terrorist killed would be also thrown into the pigpen.
