A fine example if the US public education system.  Totally illiterate
and unreadable.

I use to hire people to type for me. With what affects my feet and hands
it is good that I hit a few right keys.
It doesn't help that spell checker is as bad as I am sometimes.
Perhaps you would like the job of spell checker. I don't pay much but....

Elmer,
I can answer almost none of your questions, but a few.
The ferry that I saw did not have the capacity for cars (let alone RVs).
You should be able to park the coach on Newfoundland near the docks.
That will probably be in Fortune or Grand Bank (not sure).
It is a French Province, so I would expect an American to need a
passport (knowing the French, it will have to be a real passport).
Saint Pierre is the only one with a usable harbor (good place to ride
out a storm - guess why I know?), I don't have any idea how normal
people get to the settlement at Anse de Miquelon.
Given the proximately, I be they will take Canadian currency (and
probably all that they can).
I don't have any idea what is there past the dock and the first bar and
that was some years ago.
When you get back, tell us about it.
Matt

There are times when your little diatribes leave readers wondering about
your level of education as well.
You should have used a semicolon between "system" and "Totally" and used a
lower case "t" with "Totally".
Did you mean to say that the poster was illiterate or that the post was
illiterate?

Max (hmm.  an illiterate post? Is there any other kind?)  {:-)

Thanks for the grammar/spelling lesson.  If you look at my orig. post,
I DID usE "T" in totally.  Do you have a vision deficiency?

Also, show me the rule that states a semicolon be used for such
informal writings!  I wanted the Total pause for even more emphasis.

As to illiteracy, I leave it to the reader to choose which one or
both.

I know. You shouldn't have.
I was only suggesting that if you're going to appoint yourself a grammar
enforcer you should follow the rules.

If you're claiming that your writing was informal why can't the OP make the
same claim?

Since my reading comprehension is somewhat limited, I'm going to have to ask
what that last sentence means.
