I have an idea where throwing a specific type of food at a monster will
pacify the monster rather than tame the monster.

Right now it appears the best file to look at for such a patch is dog.c. Am
I right or at least on the right track? The area around line 744 looks
promising too.

Try throwing a vegetable at dog or cat.
