Harrah's bought Binion's Horseshoe and then "flipped" it to MTR Group.
When Harrah's sold the hotel/casino to MTR Group, Harrah's kept the ownership of the "Horseshoe" brand name as well as the WSOP; that's why they bought the property in the first place.
That's why Binion's was named just "Binion's" and not "Binion's Horseshoe." after the sale to MTR Group..
What did Harrah's intend to do with the name "Horseshoe? Harrah's was going to build a new flagship hotel and casino on The Strip named the "Horseshoe."
Those plans had to be put on hold because of the economy/world-wide financial crisis caused by Barney Frank.
