Something I gotta go to a butcher for? Any unusual cooking instructions? - Mike... more »

Using same basic recipe. 2 C flour 8 oz sweet butter (2 sticks/cubes) 1/2 C sugar 1 t vanilla extract 1/4 t salt This time I used granulated sugar and ran it through the blender. Looks good. Back from Mexico
Got back on Monday from 8 wonderful days in Chacala Mexico. Great beer (Pacifico) awesome marguarita's and great food. Ended up with some diarreha that's still on the loose but other than that and a slight sunburn...it was well worth the trip.

Turkey brining question
I just bought a Fred Meyer "Private Selection" (i.e. store brand) turkey which "has been enhanced with up to a 8% solution to assure juiciness." It doesn't say what the "solution" consists of, but I'm assuming that it contains some salt. Should I go ahead and brine it anyway? Any advice will be appreciated.... more »
