T-bones and porterhouse steaks for $4/lb at Rainbow this morning. Regularly $9/lb. I bought 8 of them. They will last us a long time; one will feed both of us. Might grill one tomorrow. -- -Barb, Mother Superior, HOSSSPoJ http://web.me.com/barbschaller - Who Said Chickens Have Fingers? 10-30-2009

That is an incredible deal! Good for you. :-) We are waiting for butchering in about a month and a half and then we will have a whole steer. $2.00 a pound hanging weight. A little more effort, though.

Thenkyew. I see your 'puter consultants came through for you. :-) We've decided to have the steaks for dinner tonight. I'm going to chop some garlic and mix it with some herbs and olive oil and rub down a couple. Decisions, decisions. . . . One porterhouse, one t-bone? Two t-bones? Two porterhouse? And what about potatoes? Baked? Hashbrowns? -- -Barb, Mother Superior, HOSSSPoJ http://web.me.com/barbschaller - Who Said Chickens Have Fingers? 10-30-2009

Baked are easiest, aren't they? (Hey, it's Sunday and everyone should get the chance to rest.)
Yes, my computer repair folk stopped by and got me up and running again after we all went out to breakfast. Settings problems.
BTW, the last few times we've had pork tenderloins cooked on the outdoor grill, I've marinated them with soy sauce, white vermouth, garlic and a bit of sugar, like what you call Bulgoki and I call London Broil when we use it on flank steak. Deelicious! Just as good cold the next day, too.

I grilled a porterhouse and a t-bone. The porterhouse would have fed both of us generously. Hashbrown potatoes; asparagus for me, brussels sprouts for Himself.
Not sure what I'll be doing with the leftover half of each one. -- -Barb, Mother Superior, HOSSSPoJ http://web.me.com/barbschaller - Who Said Chickens Have Fingers? 10-30-2009

Stir fry! Steak salad! Steak sandwiches with onions and peppers on hard rolls!

It's also an easy application for steak and eggs... I have about 6 Oz of leftover rib-steak in the fridge waiting to be sliced to go with over easy eggs and wheat toast in the morning.

What will you feed to the rest of your family, Bob?

The sons are grown up and moved out... The wife will eat whatever she pleases. And you? What will you eat tomorrow?
I'm guessing no one wants to feed you.
I also assume that "Steve" is your male name... not the real name.

The wife doesn't live with you? That's sad.
I don't know what you are trying really hard to say in that last sentence, so I can't comment on that.
