What jump? Ohhh, Daylight Savings Time crap. I love living in Arizona. We don't need no stinking Daylight Savings Time. :)

Thank God smarter minds of science discovered orbital rotation of the earth and didn't adopt latitude time zone divisions! :D

I don't mind it that much. I really like the spring change when it stays light so much later. It isn't much fun driving to work in the dark at any time of the year but, Like George, we're retired so it is no longer an issue.

I got messed up. We were out late Saturday night and I reset the clocks before going to bed. I was pretty groggy in the morning and went about my day,got cleaned up and dressed, put on my watch, had brunch and went out to rake leaves while my wife cleaned up the house. She was looking after dinner and she had invited my brother over. I came in from the yard work and was upset that she had not yet put the roast in and her cleaning things were all over the living room. I thought my brother would be here any minute and the place was a shambles. Then she pointed out that I had probably forgotten to set my watch back. Doh.

I just wish we'd pick a time and stick with it. I was raised in Michigan before the dark days of DST reared its ugly head and remember listening to Chicago stations feeling sorry for those poor people who had to reset their bodies twice a year.

I agree. One time zone for the whole world. Right now we have 24 time zones. That was bad enough. And then came Daylight Savings.
My father refused to observe Daylight Savings for a couple of years. He has a clock fetish. He had this huge house, with at least two clocks in every room. The time change was a major hassle. So he just refused one year. It was a disaster. He was already retired by then, so he wasn't watching the clock very closely anyway. He was always late to things. My sister would bug him, "time to get ready, dad". Oh no, I have more than an hour. No, you didn't change your clocks. You are due at the doctor office in 20 minutes, and it's 15 minutes to drive and find parking.

Yesterday I noticed I forgot to turn back the analog battery-run kitchen wall clock since between my wrist watch and cell phone I don't use it. The only reason I keep it is for the soothing "tick-tock" sound it makes.

I noticed today that I had manually set the ofice PC time back 1 h, while it had also done it automatically, so it was 1h behind :)
