No experience, but I bought one a few weeks ago for the kitchen remodel. It's still waiting in the warehouse for my contractor to say he's ready for the appliances.
I bought a GE, without any through-the-door dispenser. I couldn't imagine how to keep all the water lines clean and there is no drain in the door for ice or water that gets spilled.
I also think that anyone who hates bending would like this type because most of the fridge is at eye level and I open the fridge door way more often than the freezer. I also will be glad to no longer get my head gouged by the freezer door handle when I bend down and straighten up.
Ask again in a couple of months if you haven't bought one by then.

Heathen.

I'm going to be appliance shopping in a few months, and kitchen cabinet shopping too. We just bought the foreclosure next door. We're going to put this house up for sale, but no way it'll sell with what we'll be asking, so we'll end up renting it out. The new house is larger.

I have nothing against Capitalism, only predatory Capitalism. I can assure you that we won't be gouging anyone.

We are everywhere so I figure it was just an accurate guess.
Odin only drinks "wine" (Which I take to be a generic name for all brewed beverages as he retrieved the mead from the mountain). Thor likes beer according to ancient tradition.
So I think a wine cooler might be an okay topic for discussion. I keep my homebrew unrefridgerated most of the time and use the regular fridge when I want a cold one.
French door fridges are big enough to hold home brew for a sizable crowd. More than ever show up at my place for heathen gatherings.
Thor likes coffee according to modern tradition. I once tried Mountain Dew to see if it was the caffeine. Nope. He was unimpressed with Mountain Dew. Neither angry nor disgusted just a clear "Not Accepted".
