Subject: Polar HRM transmitters
I have a Polar s720i heart rate monitor, with the T61 coded chest
strap transmitter.  It looks as though the battery in the transmitter
is dying.  Do the new Polar transmitters have user replaceable
batteries in them?  If so, then I'm thinking of just buying a new
transmitter, rather than sending Polar the T61 to have the battery
replaced.  Or does Polar offer a discount on the price of a new
transmitter if I send in the old one?

Thanks,
J. Spaceman

The battery in a T61 transmitter can't be replaced. Not even by Polar,
they just recycle them. They send you a new one for a fair price.
