Google Group finally implements a kill file

It may have been there for a while but I just noticed - the Google Groups UI now has a killfile function. You can click on "Ignore user" next to any user's name in a post and he'll be added to your personal killfile. For those of us who have to use GG for some reason, this is good news. ...Wrong. There's a lot of signal loss due to the impedence mismatch and teh one-sided connection, but since every TV contains an RF amplifier and since there's no stronger source of noise on the frequency, it works fine. Try it and see for yourself if you don't believe me. As for the lossage I saw, I'm perfectly aware of the difference... more »

...I think the gas flow rate is too slow. Unless you built a nearly airtight tent around the oven, plenty of air would mix in. Especially since natural gas is significantly lighter than air.

...Indeed. A VHF/UHF beam antenna needed for good TV reception is much larger than typical present-day satellite TV dish antennas. I doubt mounting the one on the other would satisfy my landlord. They also don't allow clotheslines, and I'm sure there's no exemption for clotheslines strung between satellite dish anteenas.... more »
