I'm looking for evidence of a breakthrough that I remember as occuring in the late 1990s. If I remember correctly, scientists in Australia were trying to make calicivirus more deadly to rabbits. In so doing, they added a protein to the virus coat that made it effectively invisible to immune cells, boosting its lethality to near 100%. Problem was, the 'cloak' protein... more »
