What losers not to have infinite resources to divert from maintaining
and improving their own product; it's so much more efficient for every
ISV in the world to have to accommodate Microsoft's sloppiness than
for Microsoft to create compatible upgrades.
And that's really idiotic is to expect Microsoft to get Vista-XP

With any luck at all, by the time you make the change, all the bugs will
have been found and squashed. Computer products are much like new car
models -- you don't want to buy until all the necessary tweaks have been
made. Avoid Beta versions of software, too.

I recall when I was a kid (the 50s) people could smoke at will in movie
theaters. And did so. I do not recall that "most" people smoked. I have no
idea of the statistics, but only one person in my extended family smoked.
(He died of lung cancer, I might add.) The only other person I remember
smoking was my godmother. (She died of emphysema, I might add.)
