I don't dare show pictures of what I have. I didn't run out of shelf
space as much as run out of places to put bookcases. When we moved, we
had 800+ boxes (you know ... those Costco Willamette office boxes) of
books to move. We had our books, scattered here and there in this place
and that, plus my brother's books -- which had a lot of duplication but
also a lot of books that I didn't have. ...
We've been sorting and weeding and have given a full 5% of the books to
the-little-library-that-could up on the Mendocino coast
(<http://www.co.mendocino.ca.us/library/coast.htm>) to add to their
collection or to sell for the benefit of the library.
More weeding to follow.
I *sympathize* with this person.
'tis hard to give up your books. I should know. Even though I have way
too many books already, I bought another clutch of books at Costco
yesterday, won Louise Ure's THE FAULT TREE in the raffle at the
MWA/NorCal meeting on Saturday, and just *happened* to pick up a few at
Stacey's last week.
'tis a disease, but a happy-making disease. ...
