Subject: Using Rationale to create complex essay structures

Hi Rationale creators,

I have a question/suggestion in regards to the use of Rationale. I
really love this product, but would like to know if you could possibly
improve the performance of the software when using lots of materials
in maps.

Some of my students have used the essay planning template for creating
some very marvellous essay structures. However, the downside of this
is that the software really slows down when there is a lot in there.
Have others had this problem?

I don't recommend my students to use it for full on essays (I ask them
to keep to broad themes and materials supporting them), but as some of
them need to show me arguments in detail so I have trouble going
through materials due to the processor taking so long to churn it
along.

BTW, I have a top range Toshiba Dynabook and do not have this problem
with other applications (or even when I have various open at the same
time).

I very much like this software and at my University we now use it to
teach around 100 students. It is great and really helps cut down time
in checking students maps before they start to work on their essays in
complete form.

Any comments on this?
