Subject: Using Rationale on Mac
I just switched to a Mac and am using Rationale with the help of
Parallels. I noticed that that the save as image function does not
work when you try to copy the image of a Rationale map into let's say
Word or Powerpoint. Are there any solutions to this ?

Hi Ludwig,

We don't have Parallels here at Austhink (we're using VMWare) so can't
say for certain, but it depends on exactly what you're trying to do.

There shouldn't be any issues copying and pasting between Windows
applications, but I suspect you're trying to copy the image from
Rationale on Windows directly into a program on Mac.  We had problems
doing a direct copy and paste as well.  It is most likely a quirk with
how the Parallels/VMWare/Mac software works, not something specific to
Rationale.

There are some ways around it.  We were able to export the map as an
image (from 'Output (tab) -> Image...'), drag the image file from the
Windows desktop to the Mac desktop, and then drag the image from the
Mac desktop into Word and it appeared.

Hope that helps,
Anna Cumming
