I need module convert xlsx for my python work. I've searched Goolge for a
long times but i haven't found any module python support this. How to know
when python-excel will support converting xlsx files ?

Hi, and welcome to the group!

I am not sure what you mean by "convert". Let me answer your question
this way:

convert == read: xlrd has working code for reading XLSX and XLSM files;
this is expected to be released some time in November.

convert == write: no plans for xlwt to write XLSX files.

convert == update in situ: no plans for xl* to update XLS* files.

You may be able to use IronPython on .NET (or Mono) to call .NET
functionality for working with Excel files. This is not an area that I'm
familiar with.

Do you want to read .xlsx files or write to them?

Either way, the answer is that when development work happens. This work
could be expedited by providing funding...

Thank 2 of you for answering my question. I want to read .xlsx files. I'm
very happy if at next release we can read XLSX files. I'll wait for that.
