  Hi Alice. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;What about insurance issues? Would they be covered under the uni insurance because they need payment of some sort to be covered under mine. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I could offer them access to the collections, use of a computer in my office four days a week, use of outside table and sorting trays for artifact handling. That sort of stuff. Because it&#39;s contract work stuff I would have to make sure the clients were OK with this use of material that belongs to them (even if they don&#39;t want it). I would not be able to do that until the student decided what ones they wanted to access.

  Hi Gaye, &lt;br&gt; I have two of them based in WA at the moment, and one of them is due to do a practicum next year, which means doing a minimum of 120 hours work doing whatever their industry partner wants them to do! This student has worked a lot with Shane Burke, but to be perfectly honest with you, he&#39;s not the brightest button in the box. There is another one who is extremely good but I&#39;d have to see what she has left to do. There may be some more students not yet enrolled as well. Anyway let&#39;s talk more about it!

  HI John &lt;br&gt; Have a look at the Alexandria Archaeology Site (Washington DC not Egypt). They have a shop front where students/volunteers/tourists can spend time putting pieces of ceramics together when visiting. Maybe you could try something like this if the colonial home is open to the public. School groups seem to enjoy it and learn about the history of their area as well.

  Any of them based in WA? I have archaeological collections, some of them fairly large from a number of different sites. Because what I do is contract work there is no funding to actually do in depth research or indeed comparative research across the collections. Like Steve it&#39;s something I am planning to look at someday.
