Subject: Discussion on about-the-book
Just finished reading it.  All in all, an enjoyable ride.  Being a
Brisbanite, the interspersed references and descriptions of Brisbane
made the story for me more involving, if that's the right
description.  Some constructive criticism (perhaps a reflection of my
personal tastes), not meant to take away from a good piece of work: at
times the book feels a bit uneven.  A lot of effort went into the
description of the relationship between Martin and Angie, without a
comparable amount of material describing the places (and more
importantly, the atmosphere of the places) where Martin's travels took
him.  Also, perhaps there should be a little more meat on how the
showdown with Damien Schoor was arranged -- going from zero to
national coverage does stretch credulity :-)
