Subject: new page for NTW

Hi Alex,

Re http://www.ntw.110mb.com/co-operator.htm

Can you create a separate page for the Garden Establishment Calendar so I can link to it directly from Hope Street Neighbourhood page?

Also,
The link  ‘Use the Cooperator Forum’ takes people to a different forum to the one they have already been introduced to when they come from the Hope Street Neighbourhood page http://groups.google.com.au/group/hope-street-neighbourhood?hl=en

What do you suggest?
Chris

The reason the 'annual gardens calendar' and the 'establishment
calendar' are together on one html page is that they share job tickets
on that same page. (the job tickets have to be on the same page so the
individual links work) If we create duplicate job tickets because we
seperate the two calendars than if one is updated the other wont be
and this would become a problem.

I can put an active index on top of the page which hyperlinks to
either the gardens establishment calendar or the annual gardens
calendar so anyone who arrives at the page can instantly go to either.

I'm not sure. They were intended for different purposes. One is to do
with NTW discussion and the other was set up to host discussion about
people's specific activity co-operators. I'm not really sure what the
most ideal set up would be (the development of this new engagement
resource you have been working on seems to suggest that each
neighbourhood should set up their own discussion forum). I can't
really see how broad NTW discussion and discussion about organising
specific activities from all over the world could be mixed. While I do
want mail about NTW daily I wouldn't want mail about an over 50s group
in Tasmania daily. We have three forums we have set up. The NTW one,
The Hope St and the Co-operator one. I'm not sure which ones are
needed and which ones are not but I'm pretty sure they can't all be
the same forum.

Alex

Ok - a hyprelink at the top would be fine. Can you make it obvious because there is already quite a bit of info and choices to look at.

Re forums

see below

Chris

Me neither - but if they come from HSN page they need to go to a version of the cooperator that refers them back to the HSN forum or they will be totally lost. Similarly if they go to NTW.

Perhaps we need to duplicate the Cooperator pages and give each copy a different link - or to use the index on the Cooperator pages to identify the forum options?? Or when in the Cooperator pages if they click on the Forum link a page comes up offering a choice of forums??

 One is to do

I think that would have to happen.

I was thinking that the NTW and the Hope Street Neighbourhood Forums would be the ones we would engage with directly (not other neighbourhood forums)

While I do

Perhaps not, although there may be a way of separating conversations into streams and only getting emails from particular streams - not sure.
