  An event network is a great idea. Anything that can help in managing &lt;br&gt; the very limited resources (time, people, money &amp;amp; equipment) that exist &lt;br&gt; along the mnc has to be a good thing. A network is only as good as its &lt;br&gt; members though! For it to work will require somebody driven to keep it &lt;br&gt; all moving along - too often these networks establish themselves only

  Richard Old at Great Lakes Tourism has been a great source of support &lt;br&gt; for us in Tea Gardens Hawks Nest, considering the paltry size of his &lt;br&gt; budget. &lt;br&gt; He has helped us by: &lt;br&gt; - forwarding our press releases to his database of media contacts &lt;br&gt; - paying for some advertising &lt;br&gt; - distributing material to regional VIC&#39;s

  I would expect the following from an event network: &lt;br&gt; 1. A small fee for membership &lt;br&gt; 2. A forum such as this &lt;br&gt; 3. Regular meetings (say, quarterly) which would include an update on &lt;br&gt; what everyone is doing, and a focus session on a subject like public &lt;br&gt; liability, risk management, advertising and marketing events, sourcing
