THIS is weird.
A band I love came to Atlanta some years ago [They Might Be Giants], and
my friend signed up to be on the mailing list of the band that opened for
them.
I can't even remember the name of the band anymore, but I remember they guy
very well having hosted him in our city a couple times, though I didn't sign
up for his newsletter she did,
they send out
these weird 'newsletters' regularly, that we don't even have time to read.
This one, however, caught our attention
I'm glad to see other people experiencing weirdness that rivals my own .

Subject: I Have NOT Retired
I did not retire. I have quit, after 2 years of living in the
overflowing ashtray that is cc's life. He bills himself as
an American Storyteller. He is a storyteller, in the tradition of George
W Bush, a man who having told so many lies to himself and others over
the years, believes his lies to be true tales.
(whole ugly story redacted)
Here is the rest of the story.
Again, I have not retired. I am ready willing and able to play, record,
produce and travel. I will be at Okeedokee Acres for a while, and look
forward to hearing from you.
I am sorry to have to air this filthy laundry in public, but responses I
received from his mailing required my answer.
