Jeff,

In my book this question is right up there with "what is the meaning of
life". If I could answer it I'd tell you and if you find the answer first
please tell me. Unfortunately I think that some of us are just built to
always have a little safety stock down there in case there's a famine or
something.

I take Taekwon Do twice a week, weight train three days a week and play hard
on the week ends (outdoors kinda stuff). I don't drink, smoke or do drugs
(any more :)) I watch what I eat down to counting my daily intake of all
carbs, protein and fat. I'm 6' 173lbs. 15% body fat and guess where 5% of it
is. So if you or anyone else out there has the true answer I'd love to hear
from you. No pills (ECA stacks) or funky workout machines please!

(I heard lypo's the only way and I'm not havin' anything to do with that)

Subject: Effective stomach exercises???
Hello,
I've been working out for almost a year now and am really quite
satisfied with the results I've achieved considering the amount of time I
can spend on a daily exercise routine. However, there is one area I'm
having trouble with... you guessed... the spare tire. The weird thing is
that the top part of my abs are flat to the point where you can see the
muscles underneath, but I still have this spare tire (which now seems more
noticeable than ever since the rest of my body is in good shape).
What exercises (or books can I read) that will help burn off this one
last obstacle in my way of a pretty good physique? Thanks in advance!

There is no such thing as spot reduction.  If you want to lose fat,
you have to diet it off and get your bf% to a low enough point that it
disappears.  For men, this fat you're talking about is usually the
last fat to go.

I was just told the other day by a trainer that the extra
little 'roll' some of us get around our waist is strickly
due to diet.  Yuck!  I can't EVEN fathom changing what I
eat drastically.  I do tend to do too much sugar in the
form of cookies and RED LICORICE!!!  He explained that it
is just the bodies natural way to 'store' fat in case of
fathom.  It is our 'resourvoir' if you will.

I know this doesn't help immensely but I'm glad to hear
others are having the same problem.  I was beginning it was
an "age" thing as I just turned 50 and no part of my face
or body looks my age 'cept this little roll thingee.
AGHGHHGHGHG!!!!!
