very big brand name has signed up as naming rights sponsor for the
2009 Australian title.

Welcome to the Microsprints, i have to say i agree with what
you have said, but there is always a but, it is time some people just
let the 450 issue go and focus on there own cars to make them more
competitive, my comments under Goody2 were simply some of the guys
have had it there way for so long they cannot embrace changes, there

It is good to see a debate about change, but at the end of the day we all have one thing in mind, that is the well being and growth of the club. The sole of this club is fun, and acting as a family.
I have been around speedway for 45 yrs and with the micro's for 18 yrs, and every time there is a change suggested out comes the fear facture, the rumour mongers start and it grows a head of it's own, my advice is if you don't know, ask the people who do know and ask lots of questions. To give you a case history many years ago 250/260 speed cars ran air cooled motors which were unreliable at best and would over heat, getting slower the further you raced, so along comes a guy with a water cooled motor, instead of asking questions and embracing technology the rumour mill grew two heads and tried to ban the motor, but look were we are today, the same when twins came on board and the same when wings were introduced and we became the micro's.

QLD General Meeting & Scrutineering

The first Qld General meeting for the new season is on Sunday 5th
starting at 9.30am.
The meeting is being held at the Marburg Pub.

Pre season Scrutineering is also being conducted and will run all
day.
Dan the owner of the Pub will rope off his car park area for the
scrutineering of the cars.

Mark the 5th October to be at the Marburg Hotel for Qld's Pre season
Scrutineering and the seasons first general meeting.
Cars must be in race ready trim and drivers you must have ALL your
safety gear for inspection.

This season drivers will have a choice of Insurers with either NASR or
NDRA.

As it was my message about being bullied into accepting the 4 strokes,
I will
expand. The intorduction of a new class was a concern to start with,
But I can
see we need to look ahead with new engines, more reliable engines and
self starting

The 450cc four stroke's might not be the as bad as some think. There
are many who are not mechanically minded to be able to come to terms
with two strokes. Some people want to be different and go against the
"norm" and some who just follow what others do. 450cc four strokes are
here to stay as a replacement for 250cc two strokes. I think it's

the cams are not to oversize a engine a cam is to increase lift in
valves which increases performance, people in positions in this club
have also said there engines were worked and not standard as they were
supposed to be,as for old cars they are what keep your club going and
how many of you have started in these and moved up as you could afford

The condition of cars has nothing to do with the intorduction of
450cc. Without these
" OLDER " cars, there would not be a club. The condition of cars comes
down to
personal issues and a budget. How is intoducing 450cc going to help
this? If the club
dosn't want these older cars then maybe they should say something .
