Subject: Re: Update
I have also encountered this problem, which has occurred sparodically for the
past two years. On occasion, I will achieve connection and be able to
download the(at that point sizeable) set of upgrades and security updates
available. Upon running the command script you gave the previous poster, the
first command- ending Automatic Update- could not be completed, but all other
commands were successful. Similarly, I have not yet been able to install IE7
because it also gets stuck at the "installing files" screen. In looking at
other posted solutions for connection problems, I have discovered that I
inexplicably cannot locate the Windows Update folder anywhere on my hard
drive. It's becoming both perplexing and more than a little infuriating.
Thank you for any advice you can give, in advance!
