Subject: windows xp sp3 bootup problem since installing 13 updates from Mic

Since downloading update numbers: kb976749,kb974417,
kb958869,890830,,kb969059,kb954155,kb974112,kb975025,kb974455,kb974571,kb97 1486,kb973525,kb975467
three times since then when I boot up my computer the desktop loads all the
pictures but the bottom is black where the start button and programs that
loaded should be. If I click on internet explorer or any other desktop
program nothing happens. I have to shut off the computer with the button on
the tower. Which I know I shouldn't do!!! What can I do? Before  these
updates computer was working perfect.

[I'm not sure your spacebar's working properly either.]

For home users, no-charge support is available by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY
(and/or 1-866-234-6020) in the United States and in Canada or by contacting
your local Microsoft subsidiary.  There is no-charge for support calls that
are associated with security updates.  When you call, clearly state that
your problem is related to a Security Update and cite the update's KB number
(e.g., KB999999).

Or you can...

Start a free Windows Update support incident request:
https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=6527

For more information about how to contact your local Microsoft subsidiary
for security update support issues, visit the International Support Web
site: http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx

For enterprise customers, support for security updates is available through
your usual support contacts.
