I've had to switch off automatic updates because the recent set makes my works calendar unable to open. Has anyone else had that problem? Does anyone know a solution?
Outlook express won't open e-mails and will not let me reply with these last updates. I'm leaving updates on in case Microsoft find the problema nd fix it.

Microsoft Security Bulletin MS06-015 Vulnerability in Windows Explorer Could Allow Remote Code Execution (908531) http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-015.mspx has been revised to v1.2 to reflect the issues in KB918165. From the FAQ section: "On Tuesday, April 25, Microsoft will issue a targeted re-release of the MS06-015 update."
Now may not be the time to learn Regedit. I suggest you use a .reg file already done for the purpose.

Fred Hegner wrote,
After receiving MSN Automatic updates KB908531, KB911562, and KB912812 it was not possible to save Word 2003 files in the usual directory and I can not find the individual saved word files in the directory. Also seem to have problem printing with my HP printer. Note the comment about a fix to be released on April 25.Could that help?

This is my first time coming into this site and making comments, so bear with me. Noticed some complicated comments about the KB908531 update that sound complicated. I was unable to navigate on the web after these updates until I restored my system, but kept getting the updates will install dialog box until I turned off the auto updates and went to the update site. THE ABOVE KB908531 WAS LISTED AS AN OPYIONAL AND WHEN I CHECKED IT OUT, FOUND IT IS INTENDED FOR THE IE7Beta WHICH I DON'T HAVE AND I THINK IS NOT YET READY FOR RELEASE. In other words, an IE7 update is being installed to earlier versions and screwing things up. Leaving auto update off for now until they straighten this out.

Nope, you're mixing up KB908531 (MS06-015) with the indeed optional KB904942 update obviously.

Thank you so much for all your help Alan, I decided to migrate my e-mail to Outlook, I have been meaning to for some time, but was worried I may lose my e-mails. I had no need to worry it guided me straight through the process and very quickly copied all my e-mails accross. I just hope they don't break Outlook now. Regards Jean

Didn't have a chance to get online yesterday, so I didn't see your responses until a few minutes ago. You guys are right, I blew it somewhere when I looked up the material. But I looked up KB904942 as mentioned by Ottmar and that's the one I had the problem with. Sorry bout that and thanks for the extra eyes guys. Guess I'll stick to driving trucks, at least I know how to read maps and street signs!
