I posted a couple of questions on the 12th Oct - is such a delayed response
usual?  I feel in limbo - any help would be appreciated.

Repost your questions, the sharepoint conference has been running and you
might find that the people to answer simply weren't around.

Alternatively, head over to the technet forums - they are much better
supported.
