Hi,
We are trying to understand the results we are receiving when we are
using MOSS Search. We would like to know the following:
1. Does index work on all the document content or only on the
metadata? to my understanding it works on all the document data. If
so:
2. Does the search work with an "AND" between all the search phrases?

Established a SharePoint document Library and on the whole things are
good with the exception that the following library properties don't
prepopulate from the Word document's properties when uploading:-
1. "Document Number" (single line text) - In the uploaded doc it is a
custom property of type text.

I create a new editform.aspx with a different name. When I load the page in
the browser, it re-directs to the default edit form for that list.
It will do this even when the edit forms have the same content.
Has anyone seen something like this before?
Thanks

I am using MOSS and I have two sets of users that will be looking at the
same DispForm.aspx page for a list. I want to show the new, edit, etc bar
to some users but not others. I am trying to use the
SPSecurityTrimmedControl to do this.
I can find the code for the control bar. Normally it looks like this:

I have to
create a script and handjam the bindings with the host header entries. Is

 Hello All,
I have problems opening documents (Word, Excel...) that are located on
our SharePoint 2007.
2 things are happening in W7 with IE8:
- I am getting a login prompt or nothing; it's freezing. Or
- Even by entering my same credentials or clicking on cancel,
sometimes it stuck, sometimes it works. This does not happen on a

 Hi All,
We have a parent domain called 'A' and have two child domains called 'B' and
'C' in the same forest. We are planning to rename the parent domain as "root"
and move all the users and groups from domain B and C to "root" domain A. We
will be using ADMT to move the users and the SID history will be retained.
