We run Sharepoint 2007 with sp2 on the backend.. on the front end, i've had this issue with both windows vista and windows 7 (x64)..
We have shortcuts to browse in windows explorer, document libraries, via say \\intranet\doclib\ etc..
At first i thought it was a webclient service/vista issue or something i had installed to cause the slow performance..
I installed a fresh copy of windows 7.. everything was going great.. so i assumed win 7 was the fix.. ie: double clicks on folders were near instant.. then after installing about 20 more apps on the fresh install.. suddenly the click throughs are back to horrible.. taking 2-6 seconds between folder refreshes..
I'm pretty sure either a windows update or maybe an app i installed has caused this issue to return..
Has anyone ran into and figured out the root cause?
Hi, I have the same problem after upgrading with Service Pack 2. IE6 does not working. I tested the newest cumulative update but this does not work either. I'm wondering if we are both the only one with this issue??

Having the exact same problem on Windows 7. On my XP machine everything is perfect and I have the same apps installed as on my Windows 7. It must be some updates
