it look that there is some issue with current version of MOSS. For some
reason "Product configuration wizard" do not want or can't upgrade
databases.

So far I did tried:
- restart entire installation <- no progress, problem still exist
- issues "psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force" <- no progress,
problem still exist
- even I tried suggestion from here :
http://vandanarathore.blogspot.com/2009/06/b2b-upgrade-fails-with-err...
<- no progress, problem still exist

does any one know what I can do about this ? our enviroment is down and I
have no clue how to bring it back.

our enviroment configuration:
- SQL box
- Central/Front end (hidden for the users) <- here insallation faild
- Front end exposed to users <- here installation successed

thanks for any suggestions

BR
Mariusz, Gorzoch

Just a guess, but it appears that the upgrade sequence may
not have been completed correctly. It looks like the database schema
may have been upgraded, then the upgrade started on the WFE?

Hi

you were partly right.

In the past I read on one blog that sice sp2 you do not have to apply wss
cumulative updates to moss (before applying cumulative updates for moss).
Unfortunetly this was not true. When you are applying CU to your moss, you
need apply first CU for WSS, and then for MOSS. If you wan't do that, then
you will end-up with the same problem I have

thanks goes to Microsoft for helping me to sort this out

best regards
Mariusz, Gorzoch
