  Thanks Dave; But doing as you say has had no affect. &lt;br&gt; Now each time I double-click on a *.xls file still another &lt;br&gt; Instance Opens and even that file also, under tools, option, &lt;br&gt; General the &amp;quot;Ignore Other Applications&amp;quot; is CHECKED. &lt;br&gt; Other thoughts?? &lt;br&gt; Jim

  I&#39;d recommend Crossover or Parallels (the latter my preference) with &lt;br&gt; XL07. &lt;br&gt; All VBA functionality was removed in XL08, so your workbooks will &lt;br&gt; absolutely not work. This stemmed from MacVBA having been stuck at &lt;br&gt; version 5, and not having the resources to update both Office and VBA &lt;br&gt; along with a platform change.

  Hi Bogi, &lt;br&gt; Note that the data retrieved by some formulae (eg formulae using the INDIRECT Function) that can be used for linking will only work &lt;br&gt; if the source workbook is open; otherwise you&#39;ll see #REF displayed. &lt;br&gt; Also, make sure &#39;update remote references&#39; is checked, under Tools|Options|Calculation.

  Everytime now that I Double-Click on an *.xls file (in my history) a new &lt;br&gt; instance of Excel (2003) Opens. xl2003 is still my Version of CHOICE even &lt;br&gt; though I have installed xl2007 and xl2010 (Bet) starter kit. How can I &lt;br&gt; correct this so that xl2003 remains as my DEFAULT Excel file, but an &lt;br&gt; additional INSTANCE DOES NOT OPEN?
