Hyperlink in same sheet - positioning problem

I have inserted some buttons in row 1 of a sheet
I have created Hyperlinks on them to jump to different parts of the
same sheet - for example different charts etc.
My problem is, as some of these links/locations are off to the right,
or down out of initial view, when you click them, the cell appears as

It may be a mapping issue. If your hyperlinks are to different drives
and all of the hyperlinks to those drives fail it may be due to a
change in the network mapping. The hyperlinks may be 'relative' and
not translating the changes. To test this, open up windows explorer
and go to the directory of one of the files you have a non-working

I have linked an Excel worksheet into a word file. In various locations on
the same worksheet underlines do not print. They show up on the screen, but
will not print in word. If I print the excel worksheet the underlines print

Refresh table with external data?

Hello,
Using WinXP and Xl-2007;
I'm a little new to the Table feature in 2007 but I like what I've seen so
far.
I've tried to format a table where there is an external link (from text) but
it seems Excel does not allow that.
Is there a way to refresh the data in a defined table with an external data

This is a feature. You can set the workbook to always update links but that
sounds like what you do not want to do. The other option is to write a
macro that opens the workbook and sets the option to update links to false
Sub Open_No_Update()
Workbooks.Open Filename:= _
"file and path here", UpdateLinks:=False

It seems I should be able to do this via the 'links' then 'startup
prompt' options. But whichever one of the three options here that I
choose seems to make no difference. When the file is saved and
reopened I'm still asked to update links again. The settings are
saved, so it still says "don't display the alert", but it does. Is

If the links were originally to files in the same folder as the
spreadsheet (or possibly sub-folders thereof) then Excel will hold them
as relative links by default. So, when the spreadsheet gets moved
somewhere else the links will be interpreted as relative to that new
folder and the files may well not reside there.

That first argument is not the filename in full - it lacks an extension
and does not have a path (which might be OK in some circumstances).
At least I would expect to see something like
=HYPERLINK("611.1 NVQ Level 4 Strategy.doc","Strategy")
and if that doesn't work then something like
=HYPERLINK("\\MyServer\MyFolde r\611.1 NVQ Level 4

Tried it - still no go. Here's the line of text
=HYPERLINK("611.1 NVQ Level 4 Strategy","Strategy")
611.1 NVQ Level 4 Strategy = filename in full
Strategy = friendly name for the hyperlink cell.
The is all happening via the CDRom

tried it but still no joy. Placed the filename in the first argument and
the text for the cell in the second argument. The response - cannot open
the specified file.
Perhaps I should explain the structure that I am working with?
Main Folder - Test
contains 4 folders - 611, 613, 614, Admin Docs
