Situation: Access 2007 (12.0.6423.1000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000). Empty base.
Actions are not executed. Time is wasted CPU.
PC ASUS M50v (Duo9400 2,5 Hz), running Windows Vista.

Empty database. Opens in Access 2007. Actions are not executed. Time to
CPU MSACCESS.EXE 3%??   Why spend time CPU?
We go to the menu Open. CPU time in MSACCESS.EXE 48,6%????  Why spend time
CPU?
In Access 2003, such a situation, no!

In general, Access does consume some memory, but it quickly gives it up when
some other process requests it, so there should be no issue.

Is it just a case that you're not expecting to see activity, or are you
actually having a problem?
