I would not unreservedly recommend San Carlos, Sonora, MX as there is a
branch of The John Birch Society operating there, it would appear.
It is NOT truly Mexico, rather, Boot Camp South of USA where a lot of
veterans of failed American Wars hang out, drink, and commissurate w/
each other.

Not a good vacation spot for anyone, as they want all to conform to
their USA/American way of ' thinking ', NOT reasoning, mind
you,...often brow-beating the locals [ Mexicans] to doing things their
way by the power of the ' Yankee $$$ '.!

No!. Avoid San Carlos/Nueva Guaymas completely. You live w/ Fox News
every nite at home...you don't need to vacation w/ the vermin.
Move on......
