ruby-newbie-night

The Inaugural Ruby Nuby Night was held at ThoughtWorks (thanks) on Thursday June 28 from 6:00 PM to roughly 9:00 PM.
?

The goal was to get people interested in Ruby and Rails by showing off the coolest things about it, and being up front about the problems too.

?

The format is a bunch of short talks: 5 minutes each, governed by a buzzer.?

Talks should show code. 3 minutes is time for one good example, so choose wisely.

?

Talks should show off stuff which is difficult or clunky in other languages and environments.

?

Remember that we're trying to show off Ruby, not teach people how to program in it!

?

This is an agile, distributed effort, just like the work of the Ruby community. :)

?

I've added links to my talks too.

I've updated the Ruby Newbie Night page as Mark suggested, adding the
link to my talk, which has links in it to the example code and other
related resources, turning the page into a the past tense, and also
adding the screencasts link.
