We now officially have 14 interested women for a team to play in the Sat womens comp in 2008. This means that a womens team in 2008 is almost a certainty.

To get it off the ground we need several things to happen.

• We need is for those women to keep asking other women until we can get that number up to a about 16 or 17 players. 
• We need to get the ladies to have a few informal uninsured kicks around the park to ensure they like it, strat developing firness, skill and team cohesion
• We need to take a $50 deposit so that we can get uniforms ordered and sponsorhip agreements signed.
• We will then be able to get girls from our 17 girls team to play up on the weeks the women are short.
• We need the ladies to help in gathering sponsorship fo rthe team

There are three main sponsorship options:

1. Find a Jersey Sponsor willing to put up $1000 in Nov 2007 and $500 p.a. in Nov 2008, and 2009 if the team is still running. We will need help from all the ladies playing in finding sponsors.  I have letter available for distribution to people you might know.
2. Or ask every lady in the team to sell one to two raffle tickets to potential sponsors for $100 and the winner gets the Jersey sponsorship of the team for three years or the life of the team whichever is the longer.
3. Or source a Jersey Sponsor willing to put up $500 in Nov 2007 and $150 p.a. in Nov 2008, and 2009 if the team is still running. And a short sponsors for $350 in Nov 2007 and $150 p.a in Nov 2008, and 2009 if the team is still running.

Kick off is on a Sat usually at 1pm or 3pm.  You will have approximately 9 of 15 games in the Macleay and 6 games out of the Macleay during 2008.  There are then finals which may be located anywhere depending on which clubs apply for and get them.

Approximate cost is $250 which includes 15-19 games and 20+ training sessions. Approx cost = $5 per hour.
