  1) Go out and buy a UPS :-) &lt;br&gt; 2) Your spooler files are corrupt (error 2007), use :SP-NEWTAB to rebuild them, but remember that you will lose all jobs in the spooler; &lt;br&gt; 3) You need to check all the other files on your system with the jcheck command; &lt;br&gt; 4) Find out why your system crashed and fix that ;-)

  Hi All, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Our System runs on Linux Server. We have the following issues &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;- the sever that has the emerge tripped off and at that time there was &lt;br&gt; a file sent to the server to print &lt;br&gt; -after the server was restarted we noticed that the printer could not &lt;br&gt; be initialized to print &lt;br&gt; -the system flags an error message when initializing the printer

  Thanks Dan, adding the check for system(14) didn&#39;t work either but it &lt;br&gt; did point me to where the problem is, although I still don&#39;t know how &lt;br&gt; to correct it. The problem is system(14) always returns a zero which &lt;br&gt; tells me the spooler is not outputting to the stdout which is why &lt;br&gt; nothing gets put in the stdin.

  The spooler is not going to set idle (why does this word come up all &lt;br&gt; the time ;-) ) waiting for your program to terminate &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;It doesn&#39;t matter HOW you do your input. The code first needs to check &lt;br&gt; to see if there is anything TO input. Otherwise you will get that &lt;br&gt; error. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;If you are still having problems, post the code.
