T24 : Limit Amount to be increased - clarification reqd

hi ,

May i know the procedure or any setup to increase the limit amount of a Non
Revolving limit reference when ever there is an excess of transaction amount
compared with allocated Limit Amount so that i cannot get the excess
override message when committing the transaction.

Here this functionality is to be applied for Trade finance module.

Did you ONLY upgrade the jBASE version? In your working version, get to a shell and see what the value of the environment variable TERM is. Make sure that this is the same in your new environment. If you upgrade Linux at the same time, then it is possible that the definition of the terminal changed. You need to see what sequence those keys send to the tty and make sure that the same codes are defined in the terminfo definition for your terminal (whatever the TERM variable is set to).

We just upgraded the jbase version and now the Home and End keys from
the keyboard are not doing what they are supposed to do.

Is there a way we can define the keys so that they are actually doing
their functions?

I' using Jbase 5_5.0.19 on Windows 2003 r2, with T24 R08 F for classic
and browser.

I need documentation on how to write a stored procedure(SPROC) in
jbase.

OPENING.BAL return parameter will have opening balance on start date.

Except that you've not included the concept/requirement to SELECT
FILE2 against only a subset of items from FILE1.

Ex. SELECT FILE1 WITH CRITERIA = 'XYZ'
N ITEMS SELECTED
SELECT FILE2 WITH ATTR4 <-- Will not work

Probably the only way to do it is to add additional Translate dict

In that case create this dictionary in FILE2:

ID: ATTR4

[ or create a similar I-type using the TRANS() function ]

then

SELECT FILE2 WITH ATTR4

That should do it!

I think that what Treg is asking is how to do something like the following:

SELECT FILE1
SAVE-LIST MYLIST

SELECT FILE2 WITH ATTR4 EQ MYLIST

So, the question is how to use a selection to select records in other file
not by id, but by another attribute. I'd like to know if it's possible to,

Yes, and that was my advice.

However, in some cases you will be able to help the help desk people resolve your issue if you can supply more lucid information than otherwise you might due to lack of knowledge. Generally my advice is that you contact TEMENOS help desk and if it seems like there is information lacking in your report, then it seems perfectly reasonable to ask for some advice here that you can then pass on.

Hi,
I have used EB.ACCT.ENTRY.LIST() recently. Be careful, it gives you the
balance on the start date (FROM.DATE). So to have the balance in a Dates
range, you have to LOOP all the STMT.ERTNY ids (ID.LIST) and sum the amounts
(Credit or Debit, depends what you need).

Make use of EB.ACCT.ENTRY.LIST with the necessary parameters passed.

EB.ACCT.ENTRY.LIST (*
ACCOUNT.NUMBER,FROM.DATE,END.D ATE,ID.LIST,OPENING.BAL,ER)*
ID.LIST gives the statement entries .By this you can achieve your
requirement.

You don't say whether you are on Windows or Unix versions of jBASE

I would create as a PROC (providing you have an MD).

Hi,

I am looking for any routine/function which can return account balances on
dates range. I used *EB.GET.ACCT.BALANCE(ACCT.ID
,R.ACCT,'BOOKING',Y.DATE,'',AC CT.BAL,CR.MVMT,DB.MVMT,ERR.MSG )* but it
provides account balance on a particular date not on the range of dates.
I would really appreciate any help.

This problem occurs in a core program so Temenos Helpdesk should deal
with it. Temenos customers shouldn't have to resort to a jBase forum
for advice on problems like this because of poor support.
