Hi Hug, Tas here in Victoria!

I've got a huge gig coming up in a fortnight on 20 November 2009 at
Gertrude's Brown Couch at 30 Gertrude Street Fitzroy. Show starts at
8:30pm any Huggers are most welcome to come down!

Tasman Fleming

Peeking out from behind the Velvet curtains of Vaudeville, Tasman
Fleming charms his way through Jazz, Hawaiian, and cowboy standards
and in his way serenades into the night by the warm glow of dusk
through till rosy dawn with his fascinations and excellent rythms.

The Tinderbox Collective

The Tinderbox Collective is the result of a decision by several of
Melbourne's most outstanding young musicians from the indie, hip hop,
and world music scenes that it just wasn't good enough that they
weren't around for the folk revival of the 70s. After meeting at the
2009 National Folk Festival, the group formed with the intention to
reinterpret Australian folk and dance tunes for a modern audience.
Already gathering a diverse fan base and receiving rave reviews for
their energetic lagerphone-and-cajón driven beats, virtuosic
instrumentals and big vocal harmonies, the Tinderbox Collective will
be releasing their debut later this year.

The Duane Halls

The Duane Halls are led by, and sometimes only consist of, Handsome
Kev Bravery playing folk-rap artful acoustic re-imaginings of popular
and unpopular rap and hip hop from the mid 90s up until today; a cross
section of Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Salt n' Pepa, MIA, Matisyahu, Kanye West
and everyone in between.
There isn't anything like this (for good reason or not - no one is
really sure yet). Still... it is pretty cool.
